Foundation: Truman Heartland Community Foundation
During the 17th annual Toast to Our Towns Gala, Community of Christ will receive the Community Partner Award.
Also, Truman Heartland Community Foundation will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in November and by that time, the 10 Independence residents who signed the articles of incorporation to create a public community foundation will be honored with a special award.
